InAuth garnered its first-ever CNP Award this year when it took home the Judges Choice Award in the Best Mobile Solution category. Since 2011, Boston-based InAuth has offered its device ID authentication solution to a wide range of merchants from global brands to mid-size clients. The company points out that with card-not-present fraud predicted to increase exponentially in the next few years, businesses require real-time risk analysis and decisioning to mitigate against digital attacks and protect their “always-on” customers as they transact via mobile and online, while still providing a frictionless customer experience. InAuth offers a comprehensive range of next-generation device intelligence technologies designed to authenticate, reduce risk, remove customer friction, and maximize digital transactions through mobile apps, mobile browser, and desktop browser. The company said it helps organizations secure their digital transactions by understanding the trustworthiness of devices connecting to their mobile apps and through browsers. InAuth notes that it has three key differentiators that separate its solutions from other systems: A unique and permanent device ID, called InPermID, is available for devices transacting through mobile apps. InPermID survives app uninstall/reinstall and operating system upgrades and cannot be spoofed. This allows businesses to recognize and differentiate returning devices with confidence. The mobile device can act as a trusted second factor of authentication, proving “something you have.” A proprietary Trust Path architecture prevents interceptions by providing a completely secure path to transport sensitive information. It means that the intended device is the only device in the world that can read that sensitive information. InAuth was “born mobile”—it didn’t port its technology over from another channel and simply add mobile capabilities. Its architecture was built specifically for the security challenges of a mobile environment. The company says it considers itself mobile-first company and a top innovator in the mobile device intelligence space—meaning organizations will always have access to the next-generation technologies necessary to successfully navigate an evolving marketplace.
